Online Learning is a bit new to me; I know very little about the topic but am not even sure if that is actually what Online Learning is, I hope to learn more about this topic in our upcoming unit. With that being said I am eager to learn more about this topic due to the increase of schools advertising online learning, many programs and schools advertise receiving a diploma without even stepping foot in a building seems pretty impressive ugh. I actually feel as if our Instructional Technology Program at Wayne State University could be considered an online schooling, we are able to receive a degree without even having to attend classes at the university we are able to complete all assignments virtually and electronically.
Also, if I had to explain what online learning with the knowledge I have I would say it's done of your computer or anywhere you are able to receive wireless internet, I don't believe there is a school you actually attend. A variety of students are able to attend online schools; parents who want to home school their children, students who failed to receive a high-school diploma or students who are to busy supporting a family and are unable to attend classes. I feel as if online schools are a good thing for our upcoming future it still allows children and adults to receive an educational background incase they are unable to attend school due to certain circumstances, as long as that individual is willing to strive higher to receive the knowledge they are looking for.
